A NYC luggage problem?
versatilemile asked:
I am visiting in NYC, staying at Staten Island. Our return flight is at 6am this tuesday. We are trying to figure a way to get to Laguardia without spending to much money. Could anyone recommend any transportation service, or a plan to make it there on time to make or flight?

Well, if you’re staying in Staten Island…swim? singlepurposeaccount
The EASIEST thing to do is get a cab. I think it’s like $45 flat fare from the airports (maybe it’s just to manhattan..I forget the fine print). You don’t want to ride subways or buses w/a lot of luggage if you’re traveling that far of a distance. PlasticTrees
Call a car service. Can’t recommend a specific one, but a phone book or anyone local to the area should know which ones are based near where you are staying in SI. It will be expensive…again, don’t know which part of SI you’re in but probably >$60…but it will be much, much faster than taking the ferry to a subway to a bus…and it will be easier to doze while you travel. I agree with Amanda…if you were to try to take public transportation you’d probably have to give yourself 2 to 2 1/2 hours to get there by check in. It’s not going to be cheap. The other answerer is incorrect, there is no flat fee in or out of LaGuardia, that applies to JFK only.
There are also two shuttle services that service Staten Island sort of like a car (van) pool. Try calling one of them to see if they have anything available. I don’t know what their rates are but is should be cheaper than a cab.

Their numbers were on the Port Authority website (the Port Authority runs the airports in New York). Chanteuse_ar
