Airplane luggage - are you allowed to carry a smaller suitcase in a bigger one as checked-in luggage?
I’ve just bought a new luggage set and would like to take all of them with me, because I will be needing them for the return journey. So I intend to place the two smaller suitcases in the bigger one and fill them up with stuff. I have a 32 kg weight limit, so this shouldn’t be a problem.
Will they let me do this or make me check in the empty suitcases separately?
Thanks.

I am sure you can do that, but they will charge you for checked in luggage. When you are coming back you might have to pay for two checked in luggage. Leslie S
I’m pretty sure that they will let you do this and they won’t make you check in the empty suitcase. You can also ask them when you check the suitcase in. ChrisMC
You can put anything you like into your suitcase, Yes! even a smaller one. agooddub
You are allowed to do that. As long as you don’t have any dangerous items in your checked luggage, they don’t really care what is in there. Good luck and have fun! NYCLady
Yes, they should let you do that. You will just have to pay separate baggage fees when you come back, though, because they will not fit inside the big one. The Great Brandini
Yes it’s possible. There’s no restriction as to what you put in your suitcase, other than prohibited items, and luggage is not a prohibited item. Robby
