I am going on holidays from Ireland to Bulgaria but I am just wondering can I bring it as hand luggage and do I have to take it out when they check the hand luggage bags?
Thanks, I don’t know if I really want to use it on the plan it’s just that I don’t trust have it in a suitcase because it would proBably break!

As far as I know you can take it on as hand luggage, but you will have to take it out when they check the hand luggage bags :)

Yes you can bring it as hand luggage. I brought mine last summer. I just suggest you get a separate bag for it. Check out socialtravellersite (dotcom) if you have more travel questions. They have tips for travellers.

Not sure for Ireland, but in the US you can bring 1 carry-on plus a purse or laptop. And yes, they will have you remove your laptop from its bag and in some cases, if they’re anal, may have you turn it on briefly to verify it’s not a fake.

you are allowed to take your laptop as hand carry and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT…you will have to seperate it from the rest of your things when it goes throught the metal detector

yes im pretty sure you can
but they might tell you as general procedre that no electrical items such as mp3s, laptops, etc cant be used during take of or landing but it shoudl be fine during your flight.
    have fun xxxx

oh yea for sure. You have to obviously get it checked and they attach a sticker on it so when u go on the plane there are no worries. as long as you have acknowledged it.

You certainly can take your laptop has hand luggage and you SHOULD. If you put it in your checked luggage it may/will not be there anymore when you pick it up. And if you claim the airline for your stolen laptop they will pay you like 25 US$ per kilogram (12 US$ per pound) which is no deal. So if you take it, take it with you. I always do that and everyone does it. You can actually use it on board during the flight (when the crew announces you can). But unless you’re flying in first class it will be kind of uncomfortable.

They will check your bag in the scanner (you don’t even have to take it out of your bag), and it’s harmless for it.

Just make sure you don’t exceed the amount of allowed hand luggage pieces, weight and size (check the airline’s website). I usually put my laptop suitecase inside of my backpack so it counts as one hand luggage piece.
