Are homemade luggage tags for save the date cheap or a good idea?

I don’t think it’s “cheap,” but the point of a reminder is to have it in a prominent place. Would you put a luggage tag on your fridge to remember the date? Maybe there is more to it than I know from your question…
Perhaps a magnet instead… or a nice postcard with your picture on it. That would be easy to keep.
