are weapons such as knives and numbchucks allowed in check in luggage when travelling overseas?
and i enjoy it. asked:
i was thinking of purchasing some weapons, except for firearms, however im not sure if its worth the risk of taking them, even if they are in the checked in baggage - not hand luggage..
Can anyone clarify?

You should be allowed because if its checked in you can’t get to it to attack anyone. LOL dillon
It is not clear if you are buying them overseas and returning to the US; if you are buying them overseas in one country, then continuing to travel to other countries before returning home; or what.
The TSA screening process, for US departures, will allow those items in your checked baggage.
What customs inspectors will say in a foreign country in a different story. In some countries, it is possible that possession of some types of weapons is illegal.
You will have to that research on your own. Roger K
Yeah you should declare it when you check in to make sure they don’t have any special procedure for checking in those kinds of weapons. They asked me to sign a waiver stating my firearm was unloaded and in a locked case when I had a handgun in my checked luggage. If it is legal to own where you are flying then there isn’t any reason you shouldn’t be able to bring it with you. Jagermann
