I’m on vacation in Aruba, and I bought two bottles of Aruban booze that I want to take home to the States. If i pack them in my checked luggage on my flight home, will there be any problems?

  1. Abby Normal says:

You can bring them back, but you must declare them at customs. Your checked luggage is the only place you can carry them. Abby Normal

    Two restrictions:
    - You can only carry 5 liters of any beverage that is between 24 and 70% alcohol, and you may not bring any alcohol that is over than 70%. This is a US rule and I assume that departure from Aruba would have similar rules.
    - You have to declare them for customs when you arrive, and if you are less than 21, then they may take them away - don’t know if they commonly do or not, as I have not had to worry about the age limit for quite some time.

Other than that - no problems. Roger K
