Can two people share checked luggage on an airplane flight?
Jared M asked:
We will be flying somewhere for a weekend, and neither of us will completely fill our bags. Can we just consolidate our stuff into one to save money on those insane baggage fees, or does that break some silly rule they have in place?

My husband and I always pack an few outfits in each other’s suitcase when we travel in case one gets lost. I would not see where TSA would have a problem if you had 1 suitcase with 2 person’s stuff in it as long as it met the height and weight restrictions. LdySprtn
If you mean can one bag be checked under 2 person’s name, I don’t think so, their computer system should only generate a single passenger’s name. As to packing other people’s stuff into your own bag, no airline would open your bag and ask who they belong to. Just make sure your bag does not exceed the weight and dimension allowance for your type of flight. longliveabcdefg
thats FINE.

my family, we are 4 and always pack our stuff into one suitcase.
but keep in mind, it must be within weight and size restrictions,
check your airline website or call.
Also, maybe you could all just take your luggage as carry ons?
make sure those are in regulations too.
just a suggestion, but do what you want and good luck
