Will they have to inspect the pack to make sure they’re not drugs or anything stupid?

if you’re in the u.s. you can. you can carry them on too, that would probably be easier unless you are bringing a bunch. if you are bringing a whole lot, they might do a customs search or something, especially if you’re crossing borders. i know there’s a limit to how many you can cross borders with. i know cuz i just flew with cigarettes washington d.c. to las vegas. not all airports have smoking areas. las vegas didn’t have any not even outdoor ones.

You may have a pack of cigarettes in your luggage, and they won’t do an extensive search on it. But it IS illegal to bring anything that can light those said cigarettes.

  5. Dereky says:

Considering the people looking at your luggage probably uses cigarettes too, they will be able to determine what it is really quickly.

TSA is more interested in catching explosives and bottles of shampoo these days.

You can bring up to 4 books of safety matches in your carryon luggage if youi want to use those cigarettes in places where you can.

you can do it and most likely they won’t check them, but make sure you know the limits of how many cigarettes you can take to the country you are traveling too. that’s the most important thing.

Yes you can bring your smokes with you in your check luggage. The only thing is that you can not do is that you can not do is to have your lighter in your luggage but you can have books of matches on you.

Yes, you can. The only hassle you might encounter is if you have an enormous amount of ciggies so they might think you’re transporting them for re-sale, or if you’re crossing a national border, then you are liable for duty (tax) on any amount over the duty-free exclusion (usually 200 ciggies).
