Fun asked:

Travelling to Japan soon and interested in their aftermarket motorcycle parts such as exhaust for personal use. Could i put the exhaust in my luggage and bring back to Singapore? Will i be required to pay taxes? Is it legal to export items such as these personally? Are there any best option to go about bringing back the parts? Thanks in advance!

  1. Ken Y-N says:

It’s legal to export, but your problem will be at Singapore customs - you would most likely get charged import duty, or at worse have the exhaust confiscated as it might not meet regulations for import. Check with the Singapore end, as that will be where the problems are.
