Do people go to places around Honolulu/Wakiki with their luggage or bags after checking out of the hotel?

You can usually check your luggage at the hotel and only have to pay a small fee while you burn time. Ask the receptionist while checking in to see if they offer this service. Many times, people arrive too early for check in and often check in their luggage at the hotel till it’s time for them to go to their room. Hope this helps!
You should be able to store your luggage at the hotel where you stayed and collect it before you leave for the airport. There is usually no extra charge for this.
Alternatively, you could take the luggage to the airport left luggage office first, spend the day sightseeing, then pick it up prior to checking in for your flight.
When we were in Hawaii we had to be out of our room by 10 am and our flight wasn’t until midnight. Our hotel held our bags for us so we could go do some more sightseeing. We didn’t go to the beach or anything; but we were told that if we wanted to go to the beach that they had courtesy showers we could have used before heading to the airport.
