Has any one rode Amtrak that had many transfers and checked their luggage?

I am riding Amtrak with my 2 year old. I will be taking train, bus, train, bus they say I can check
my luggage until I get off the second train. Do I make sure they put it on the first bus and the second train. And when I get off in Bakersfield and they don’t have checked luggage where do I get it at?

Your question doesn’t make sense. Is Bakersfield the first transfer or the second? Are you leaving Bakersfield by bus or train? gomanyes
I DON’T KNOW WHERE you are starting out but if you are making 4 transfers i would recommend flying. all those transfers, sounds like this trip could take 2 days.
I once rode amtrat form portland oregon to winona minnesots.
