How can you knock out a dent in a hard plastic car roof luggage box?

Plastic becomes elastic when heat is applied.Careful use of
a blow torch and a spoon will push out the dent in the luggage box.
with a hot heat gun but keep it at a distance or you will melt it. i do it on plastic bumpers
Using a comercial type heat gun (like a hair blower drier) might due the job. Due not overheat and melt the plastic. If in doubt how to do, check with the bodyshop.
IF the plastic is not too rigid as it is, just try to push it out. If it is too hard to easily push it out, do like everyone else said and apply heat and push it out.
