    I don’t think that’s possible….It’s kind of a hit or miss deal…

There is no way of knowing for sure that all of your luggage will be there. My husband and I are taking a cruise next week (my 23rd) and when I pack, I divide our clothes, so part of both of ours is in each case. I include leisure daytime clothes and dressier evening clothes, as well us underwear and shoes. This way, if a suitcase is missing, we can still wear our own clothes and be appropriately dressed for a few days.

2000 people are going to board the ship in a few hours. There is no way the staff can get all the luggage sorted and delivered in the same amount of time.

However, your luggage should arrive before 8:00pm. If it is not to your cabin before 8pm then there is a problem and you need to contact the Purser.

I have been on seven cruises and my luggage has always arrived before 8pm on the day I boarded the ship.

That being said, your luggage will arrive sooner if you are on a small ship. When I was on a ship with only 700 passengers, my luggage arrived before 5pm.

If there is something you need prior to 8pm, pack it in a carry on. This includes a swim suit if you plan to go swimming on the day that you board.

Your luggage will get to your cabin as fast as possible. The best advice to to take a tote bag with aby meds, a casual change for both, camera, sunglasses etc. the crew does the best job they can. Do not forget there are an average of 12 decks and most people bring 2 suitcases. Thats alot of luggage to sort threw & set outside each cabin.
Enjoy your cruise instead of worrying about your luggage.

Chances are that your luggage will be delivered to your cabin within the first couple of hours of sailing. The stewards have to deliver all the luggage and that does take time. Some people have to be first and others will be last.

However, do make double sure your tags for the cruise are attached to your bags. This is how the bags are delivered.

It is always a good idea to have a small bag as carry-on with essentials in it such as any medicines, a change of clothes, a bathing suit, etc - just in case your suitcase does not make it to the ship upon departure. It will be found but may take a couple of days and will be flown to one of your ports of call.
