    Liquids are not routinely removed from checked in suit cases.

    Checked in luggage is often x ray’d and occaisionally gets the attention of sniffer dogs.

    Checked luggage is x-rayed. Anything that is suspicious is investigated. Dogs are also used to check for explosives and drugs. Liquids can be removed or inspected if they are suspicious.

    No, they won’t take them out unless the x-ray looks suspicious in some way. If they do a hand search they open the bag, search it, sometimes swab it to test for explosives residue, then seal it - tape it up if there is no TSA approved lock that they can open and then relock.

    Just follow the TSA rules and get a TSA lock and all’s well.
