If customs agents ruin your luggage, is there anything you can do about it?

Apparently, when customs agents were searching it, they sliced open the satin liner on the insides of the suitcase.
I am assuming that there’s nothing to do about it now, but I would like to know, as this was a beautiful piece of luggage in perfect condition!

You can’t do anything about it and if you complain too much Dept. of Homeland Security will give you a really hard time. Tristie

no sorry there is nothing you can do. that is why they dont make luggage in america with a liner on the inside of it anymore. miles
