It is only 20kg hull baggage and 5kg for hand/carry on. I think you get charged £30/32 Euros per kilo but not too sure about that.
What you can do is make friends with someone who will take some of your spare luggage and voila more duty free shopping
P.S. don’t tell the check in person what you did as its not allowed.
It depends on the airline you are travelling with and the class of ticket you have. The charge for scheduled airlines is usually a certain percentage of a full fair economy ticket per kilo.
You will need to either read the tos on the airline website or contact them. Some airlines will offer you a deal if you tell them in advance. Or they may be able to take your luggage as freight on the same flight, this is usually cheaper.
btw I would not advise you make friends with someone on the flight and have them take some of your luggage. good if it works but if it doesn’t I’m not sure the jails in singapore are very nice.
