im trying to find someone who has been to the lost luggage warehouse in scottsboro, Alabama?
Mz Mulatto BBW asked:
I recently saw a Travel Channel special about the Lost Luggage Warehouse in Scottsboro, Alabama. How are the deals there? Is it really worth the trip? I’ve been trying to find some info online about them but can’t. Are there any other attractions in the area worth visiting? I’ve been to Alabama but never to this area before. If you could provide any links or other info, it would be great. Thanks in advance!

ok i have been there but its been years ago if you live close within a 100 miles or so i say go if you live futher skip it the prices are good and the stuff is first class however this is like thrift store shopping and finding something that you like in your size and color can be damn near impossiable as far as everything cameras and such there is no warrenty so if you get home and something is wrong with it there will be no refund, also there is nothing else to do in the area
I live in Mobile but have a friend from Huntsville who has been there. She told me it is REALLY cool and that she once found a cd (with markings on it she had made) there that she had left on a plane years earlier!
I think it is near Lake Guntersville which is gorgeous. If you are going to be in that area, then I definitely recommend staying in a bed and breakfast in Guntersville. Such a nice area.
Mobile is wonderful, as well. We are a port city that has really been making a name for itself. Come down and enjoy seafood on the water, walk around our blossoming and charming downtown, visit the Gulf Coast Exploreum and see Hurricane on the Bayou IMAX film, stop by Carpe Diem Coffee and Tea Co., drive down oak and old mansion-lined Government and Dauphin Streets, visit a few antebellum mansions, stay in the newly renovated Battle House Hotel and see the new RSA Tower. I guarantee you will enjoy it!
I got a set of golf clubs that retails for 900 dollars for 350 dollars,I also got a leather jacket for 75 dollars.
I live here. The fame Unclaimed Baggage earned from the Oprah Show killed the deals. I can buy most items at the store for the same price and in some cases cheaper. Sometimes you get lucky but not often. I suggest going mid-week for the best selection. As far as shopping, we have a JC Penny. You might check out Hammer’s in the courthouse square. Most of us locals go to Huntsville for shopping. If you like the outdoors, there’s beautiful scenery around the State Park in Guntersville. In Fort Payne we have Little River Canyon which is beautiful too. Sorry, but this is a rural area and we don’t have attractions other than the occasional cow standing in the middle of the road!
Here’s Unclaimed Baggage’s website. They ain’t kidding when they say “searching” for bargains.
