Is a laptop a hand luggage when flying bmibaby?
blinking_mariposa asked:
Does anyone know for sure-for instance, someone working for that precise company, if, when flying with bmibaby, a passenger is allowed to take a laptop as well as a hand luggage?

i think the laptop counts as part of your hand luggase, so your better off taking the laptop and handluggage in one bag
Economy 1 piece max size 55×40x23cm, plus one personal item*
*You must be able to lift your cabin bag unaided into the overhead locker. You may take into the cabin one personal item such as a small handbag, purse, small briefcase, laptop (in a thin satchel) or baby-changing bag. Personal items are accepted at bmi’s discretion.
“remove laptop computers and other large electrical devices from your cabin luggage. They will be screened separately whilst you walk through the metal detector.”
suggests that you need to fit the laptop into your hand luggage.
Hey blinking,
I found this on the bmibaby website:
can I use my laptop onboard?
Laptops can be used during your bmibaby flight. However, all electrical equipment must remain switched off during take off and landing and at any time when the seat belt sign is illuminated. Passengers must adhere to our cabin crew instructions concerning the use of electrical equipment.
What can I take as hand baggage
You are only allowed to take small quantities of liquids in your cabin luggage or on your person. These liquids must be in individual containers with a maximum capacity of 100 millilitres each. You must pack these containers in one transparent, resealable plastic bag of not more than one litre capacity.
At the airport you must:
* present the plastic bag containing your liquid containers to the screeners at security checkpoints for examination
* take off your jacket and/or coat. They will be screened separately whilst you walk through the metal detector.
* remove laptop computers and other large electrical devices from your cabin luggage. They will be screened separately whilst you walk through the metal detector.
(last bullet point about laptops)
11.2 ELECTRONIC DEVICES
For safety reasons, we may forbid or limit operation aboard the aircraft of electronic equipment, including, but not limited to, cellular telephones, laptop computers, portable recorders, portable radios, CD players, electronic games or transmitting devices, including radio controlled toys and walkie-talkies. Operation of hearing aids and heart pacemakers is permitted.
I would assume you would have to pay an additional fee if you are bringing another bag around £10
Sorry this does not directly answer your question have a good day
