Should I put my disposable cameras in my hand luggage or suitcase?
Tallulah B asked:
‘m going on holiday soon and I’m not sure what to do with my disposable cameras that I’m taking, am I allowed them in my hand luggage? Will the main luggage X-ray ruin my film if I leave them in my suitcase?

Hand luggage, as you have better control of things stephen k
suitcase is safe andy t
I’d recommend keeping the cameras in your hand luggage. The x-ray equipment (EDS) systems used to inspect hold baggage are more powerful than the checkpoint x-rays. I’m personally aware of instances in which disposable cameras have been ruined by the EDS machines.
Cameras with 800 ASA or less film typically aren’t damaged by checkpoint x-ray machines. You can always ask the security personnel to hand-inspect your cameras - whether they will or not is uncertain, but is certainly worth the asking. Fixer
