Where can I put my luggage on National Express East Coast trains?

So in trying to smarten up a bit with my travels, I decided to take the airport express train from Berlin Zoologischer Garten to Schoenefeld (SXL) for a flight to Budapest. Cost $2.40 Euros compared to $35.00 plus tip with a taxi!!! I will need to bring with me 2 carry on pieces of luggage. Is 2 pieces of carry-on luggage acceptable when traveling trains…What is the limit? Thanks everybody
