Are homemade luggage tags for save the date cheap or a good idea?

Its a destination wedding & since I need to provide so many details, I’m sending a letter on nice stationary as well. My fiance thinks the tags & letters are nicely done & its saving lots of $, but wondering if people with think its cheap?
