What happens with my luggage an me during a stopover at Singapore airport?

Can someone help calm my nerves?! I am flying to Australia on the 22nd March alone, I am a 21 year old female and am feeling pretty scared.
My flight lands in Singapore and I then have a 12 hour stopover, I don’t plan on leaving the airport so – one what will happen to my luggage? Do I need to claim it? And two….what can I do for 12 hours in the airport??
