I’m thinking of staying in a hostel this year ,is it safe to take hand luggage and bigger luggage case?

I accidentally put my birth control in my checked luggage last time I flew. Ineffective now?

It was probably down there for a good 6 hours and it was packed in the edge of my luggage, therefore being more susceptible to heat.
