I’m gonna be traveling from Oregon to LA for a layover of a couple hours. I wanted to meet up with an online buddy inside the airport for about an hour. I would have to leave the area where you wait for the plane so I’m wondering if I’ll be able to leave then come back in. I’ll have tickets on me so I wouldn’t see a problem. Has anyone ever tried?

I’m traveling through United Airways tomorrow morning and I was wondering if there is a fee for having a luggage (a suit case that I won’t be carrying on the plane with me).
Also,
Would I have to pay for a carry on?
Thank you for the support if answered!

I hope its not a stupid question. Its my first time traveling so far. I’m going to Spain (leaving from Boston) but making a stop in Germany to switch planes. Does that mean I get my luggage and go through security again?

(Oh and just wondering, did anyone ever your those bag compressors to make more room in your suit case/shrink the clothes amount. Does that take more weight away as well?)
Thanks!
