What are the chances my luggage will get lost?
I’m a really paranoid person. I’m flying from FL, to NY, with a stop in North Carolina, and Pennsylvania. I’m flying on US airways, and I’m scared with the stops that my luggage will get lost. What are the chances? Should I just have my bags checked?
Will I need to pick up my luggage after each connecting flight (International)?
I am flying:
Dallas to Chicago on US Airways
Chicago to Warsaw, Poland on LOT Airlines
Warsaw to GdaĆsk, Poland on LOT Airlines
Will I need to pick up my luggage after each flight since it is international and using different airline companies?
Keep in mind this is an international flight using more than 1 airline. Please add to your source that you have international travel experience if you have done so.
There is no return information, as I am staying in Poland.
Do I need to check luggage to final destination on one-way flight?
I have a one-way flight on US Airways from LA to Allentown, PA with a layover in Philadelphia.
However, we only want to fly to Philly, get off the plane and not use the final leg of the flight to Allentown. Would we be able to get our luggage in Philadelphia upon arriving there or will it definitely be routed to Allentown?
thanks for all the answers so far. well, the reason i booked to allentown…it was WAY cheaper ($260 vs. $760).
What happens to all the luggage in that US Airways plane that crashed into the icy Hudson River?

Lost luggage on an airline: how do I sue or take to arbitration?
US Airways lost my luggage. They finally paid me - but far less than the value of what was lost and less than the limit of their liability. How can I sue them or take them to arbitration? There was no breakdown of how they arrived at the figure they paid me. Thanks!
