I doubt it, different people check your ID than those who check your baggage most of the time. Don’t plan on taking a lighter in a carry-on, though.
I think as long as you don’t fly internationally (i.e. go through customs) than you should be fine.
Realistically, unless you have something that is illegal in your bag (not just illegal for some) then it should be fine. Besides; its not illegal for a minor to carry them, just to buy them, I thought.
That said: Hey dummy, think about giving it up. There are a million of reasons why, you know them. My favorite is that it is a totally repulsive, disgusting habit.
