What are good brands of (inexpensive, but not cheap) luggage?
Alli asked:
I am in need of a new luggage set. I only need a 21 inch and 26 inch rolling luggage. (of course sets might come with more, but that’s my main need) I have around $100 to spend on the set. I don’t want cheap luggage, but don’t have the money to spend on brands like Samsonite.
Some brands I’ve looked at are Protocol & American Tourister.
What are your opinions on those brands and are there any others that you’d recommend.
Thanks!

I used to work at AAA where we sold luggage. Delsey is a great brand but are typically sold individually. You’ll pay a lot more if you find a set. American Tourister tends to be on the cheaper end in terms of quality. A cheap set that’s usually good quality is anything by Traveler’s Club.
Inexpensive is cheap. Try. Their prices are good and they are a good company.
Ross is a good place to buy close-out luggage, they have some good brands and I’ve bought several there. I bought my last suitcase at Kohls because they had a good sale, many times 50-60 % off.
Me and my wife found some really affordable designer luggage here…
My wife told me to tell you to check out the Liz Claiborne brand.
