Look on Ebags, you can shop by price, type of luggage, brand name, size, color, etc. Very good website and gives weight and dimensions of individual bags as well as ratings by customers. Patti

I dunno what the top ‘brands’ might be, but if you’re shopping for luggage to take on airline/cruise vacations, you need to see about airline restrictions on sizes and such.

If you’re just going to go on cruises that you can drive to the port, you’re free to bring larger luggage and more of it

How often are you going to go on these various types of vacations? Do you really need one of the ‘top three’ brands? I go on 3-4 cruises a year (where I can drive to port). I used to take my HUGE wheeled suitcase that I got at the Flea Market vendor… now I’m down to where the clothes & necessities I need to take could actually be put in an airline carry-on, but I take a larger (not the huge one) for the ‘extras needed on board’ that would be purchased in the port city anyway if I were flying in.

Sorry if I’m not much help on the top three, but If I had to fly/cruise, with the prices they’re charging for checked luggage, I’d put my clothes in the carry-on, buy a cheap bigger suitcase at the port city, and leave it behind (unless the purchased trinkets were worth paying to cart them home in the big suitcase).

Oh.. yeah, the last set of “good” leather luggage I had got slashed across one side. Nothing has ever happened to the cheap stuff! Guess it’s karma or something.

    Have fun

    Here are my top choices:

Briggs & Riley – For their elegant, functional designs and lifetime warranty.

TravelPro – For their huge range and ease of use.

Victorinox – For their great looking and travel friendly luggage.

I agree with angela exept for travelpro. Right now the Briggs and Riley Transcend line is 20% off with the clearance sale they have going on. Victorinox NXT is 30-40% off with their clearance sale. In the same price range with the sale I would reccomend Eagle creek hovercraft. All of these bags have a lifetime warranty including airline damage. Travelpro does not. I believe this would be the order of quality, 1.Victorinox NXT, 2. Briggs and Riley transcend, 3. Eagle creek hovercraft. However the Eagle creek is the lightest of the bunch with the 22″ carry on only weighing about 7lbs.

You can see all of these brands on our website Eric B
