What is the difference between Checked Luggage and Carry-On Luggage?
▫Zαhɍαh▫ ϐɛαยȶý asked:
- Is Checked Luggage what flies separately? And are there any restrictions on these?
- Are Carry-Ons what you take on the plane with you?
- Do you also get the Checked Luggage as soon as you arrive at the Destination Airport?

Checked luggage is the luggage that gets put at the bottom of the plane. You need to “check” these items, which means you give it to the ticket counter person before going through security and before going on the plane. You will pick it up when you arrive at your destination, at the baggage claim area on the carosel. It usually takes about 10 minutes after you arrive at your destination airport for the luggage to start showing up at the baggage claim carosel.
Carry on luggage is the luggage you keep with you at ALL times and bring with you on the airplane. Carry on luggage gets put in the overhead compartment above your seat on the plane, OR, under your seat if it fits. They have specific rules as to how big these items can be, and how much liquids you can bring. Make sure you look into that first. Hope that helps and have a good trip! Me!
