What should i take in my hand luggage?
Jaya x asked:
I know this might be a little random, but I’m going on holiday tomorrow (YAY) and i don’t know what to take in my hand luggage. I’ve got a four hour flight, plus travelling to and from the airport. Any ideas on what i should put in my hand luggage?
Thanks,
x

iPod, Perfume/Make Up (You can only bring 100ml on plane) Water (Can’t bring on plane) Money! Passport! A few magazines… Ooo a travelling pillow… That’s about it.
Clean underwear and a small pack of wetwipes if you are delayed you can freshen up and change your undies
ipod, a book, pillow, hand sanitizer, extra outfit (just in case you know), cell phone(some work on planes, some don’t), and a stuffed animal. It’s four hours, you need company. :]
The obvious is your wallet and all your traveling documents,
Other than that. Some make up, toothbrush and toothpaste (just a small tube) a book or magazine, ipod, headphones, cell phone if you are bringing it, and one of those neck pillows if you have it.
nintendo ds psp mini dvd player
laptop a book if your into that a snack
hmm one of those neck pillows and blanket it gets cold in the plane
and i pod i almost forgot or cd player any kinda music player
Keep it to the minimum is the best idea. I always try to do this but if you want to use the hand luggage as part of your ‘weight’ allowance for your baggage then a change of clothes is certainly advisable in case your checked in bag is delayed.
Essentials are:-
Passport, ticket, money items such as cards travellers cheques and currency, travel insurance documents. Booking Invoice for your package holiday. House/car keys. phone
You may need:-
Tissues, pen, sweets, book, headphones for inflight entertainment. (the ones they issue/sell are not good quality)
I would not bother with wet wipes, there are plenty of wash rooms at the airport and they always have them on the plane.
Definitely all of your money, credit cards, personal information, travel documents, etc. Anything of a personal nature that you couldn’t afford to lose, pack in your carry-on. Take any electronics that you don’t want stolen or broken, like laptops, cameras, cell phones, etc. Any prescription medication. A full change of clothes is a good idea, particularly if you have a layover. You can take snacks on board with you. Take things to entertain you and keep you busy, like books, word puzzles, music, etc.
