They’re both terrible for that. I had both last year nither of them could fit all the stuff and made my shoulder hurt):

In the second half of the year I used an Abercrombie Kids totebag. I liked it because it looked cute but it was so hard to fit everything into it. I had to like carry half of my binders a couple days when I had a lot of work=[ But I still used it because it was “in”.
A lot of girls in my school used Vera Bradley totes. They are cute, and they cost around $45, and when on sale, $30. They can fit most books but when you have a ton of work on some days, you might have to hand carry some stuff.
A backpack can serve it’s purpose very well. But, it could hurt your back and it’s not that stylish=P

Oh nooo! Don’t get a tote, I had a tote for grade 7 and 8 and I had shoulder problems after! And all my books didn’t fit in! Get this bag.!

i would just go with a regular book bag.
totes usually don’t fit all your books, and the ones that do are ridiculously big.
messenger bags can be ok, just makes sure it’s a good one. not a totally cheap one. ImAFrootloopInACheerioWorld2
I’ve gotten totes since 7th grade, and messenger bags hurt my shoulders. totes are more fashionable in my opinion.
yeah a tote carries all your books, i got a really nice and really BIG one from American Eagle. normally i dont shop there but it was only $10! i couldnt resist (clearence is my best friend!)

hollister and abercrombie are really well made. dont buy aero they wont hold everything without ripping.
yes unless youre school gives like 5 text books it will hurt youre shoulder and i have an assingment book. 2 textbooks and notebook and it holds it Kayla
