The temperature outside when a commercial jetliner is at flying altitude can reach 70 degrees below zero.
This requires that the cargo compartment be heated. The temperature in the cargo compartment will be very close to the temperature the passengers are experiencing.
Maybe a few degrees warmer at worst.
Your pet will be JUST FINE!!
well your flyin at or around 30,000 feet, so its not gonna be toasty, if anything COLD, unless they are climate controlled. I would worry about oxygen supply for the little buddy.
They put animals in a special cargo area which is pressurized with the same temp as where seated passengers are. Luggage however are not so lucky….but then again they don’t need to breathe or have heat does it?
Airlines will not allow animals to be checked as cargo during the summer months (at least in the U.S.). I’m surprised you were able to make a reservation. It gets way too hot in the cargo area for an animal to travel safely. If your pet is small enough to be taken in a pet kennel, you should be able to take him/her on board with you. The airlines charge extra for this.
it all depends on where you are flying out of and where you are flying into. is it a small dog or a large dog?
