Will a hotel hold your luggage until check in?
I am planning a flight to Vegas and for the days I want and airline I want to use- they have a early morning flight but my hotel check in is not until 3pm, will the hotel hold my luggage until I am able to come back and check in?
Is there a fee for this and how much is common to tip for this service?

I’ve experienced this many times.
High quality hotels will gladly take care of your luggage for you. Most five-star hotels have a ‘bag room’ specifically to hold luggage prior to check-in or after check-out. See the bell man. There is usually no ‘charge’, but a tip is appropriate.
Tourist-class hotels are a different matter, mainly because they don’t have a separate ‘bell staff’. However, if you ask politely they may have a place to store your luggage.
In some hotels (especially high end places) your luggage will be taken from you when to go to check out. When you go to leave the hotel, you give a receipt to a bell person who then retrieves your luggage and brings it outside the hotel for you. In addition to avoiding the tacky scene of patrons schlepping luggage across the lobby, this also assures that you pay your bill before leaving. monophoto
Almost all Las Vegas hotels will hold your luggage for you until checkin time for free. The bell staff will be glad to do that. Chip O

amber, any hotel in las vegas will hold your bag until check in. Jerry S
You give the baggage to their Bellman, and tell them you are check in later. With your name, he could at your request put them in your room when ready. The standard is $2 per bag tip banananose_89117
Go ahead and try to check in early as soon as you get there. If they have rooms available then it is no problem. If not they will direct you to the bellman’s desk. They will hold your bags for free. When you retireve your bag or if they bring it up to your room you can tip they guy a dollar or two per bag. T.J.
Most of the hotels have an area that it can be stored in but remember to tip the bell-hop’s probably $5 per bag DJ Ulster
If you are arriving on a weekday, more than likely they will give you a room gratis. On a weekend they may not have a choice. But certainly most hotels will hold you bags for a gratuity (but no fixed fee). Paco
